Scott from 550 AMERICA took a few moments to sit down and demonstrate a few different tools and techniques for making a fire when your out in the wild, be it a camping, hiking, or survival situation.
The ability to make a campfire for warmth and the ability to cook food is one of the most important things you can do when your out in the wild. Making sure that you have the right tools and the skills to quickly and easily make use of them is key. You don’t want to be wasting valuable time and effort when you really need to start a fire trying to determine if a particular tool works for you. Here Scott tests out a few common techniques including a couple brands of magnesium bars, a butane lighter, and the Sparkie firestarting flint.
